NO OTHER ROAD in HORRY COUNTY
CAN COMPARE TO
BUILDING I-73 IN SC
A Piece of the Greatest Roadway in the USA.
Interstate 73 in South Carolina was well-planned, researched, and debated for DECADES. We had public input time and time again. The permit was finally issued in June of 2017, and here we now sit in a dangerous position on a daily basis and when the hurricanes come. The voice of the majority is being ignored.
WE THE PEOPLE, THE MAJORITY, spoke time and time again, the permit was issued, and it IS past time to build I-73!
I73 will be a new piece of roadway, a direct road from I-95, built to the highest safety standards, free from traffic lights and interruptions, and I-73 will FINALLY connect Myrtle Beach to the Interstate System.
I-73 will begin at Interstate 95, run through Dillon, Marion, Marlboro, and Horry Counties to State Route 22, nonstop to Myrtle Beach. Click Here To See A Basic Map of the I-73 Route
The following are just some of the many benefits of building I-73 in South Carolina:
A safe, efficient, non-stop Hurricane Evacuation Route from Myrtle Beach to Interstate 95 for Myrtle Beach/Grand Strand residents and millions of visitors. One life lost is one too many!
Safe, efficient travel for people and products on a piece of the Greatest Roadway in America.
Jobs, Jobs, Jobs – before, during, and after construction.
New Industry, with the possibility of year-round, decent-paying jobs and benefits.
